Wow, this former Foster Youth (Now Foster Parent) is so eloquent in speaking about her trauma regarding food.

At High Sky, we have seen so many youth that have endured this type of abuse in our community. Please, always be aware of youth in our community, and ask if they are hungry. Most adults are simply not aware that children are going without food, right in front of them. This week in particular has us all a little more aware of the basic needs of those around us. Let’s just make sure that those we encounter have the very basics of Shelter, heat, clothing and food. If you meet someone in need, you can find assistance by calling 211, The West Texas Food bank, The Salvation Army, or Red Cross. Let’s be kind out there!

Ps. Please feel free to respond and include non profits that provide those basic needs to help us all be a little more aware of those services around us.
